TEK Hosts Resumé Lab
The Office of Transdisciplinary Education to advance Kentucky (TEK), in collaboration with The Stuckert Career Center, recently hosted a skills-based resumé lab in the TEK Collaboration Space at the W.T. Young Library. TEK exists to promote transdisciplinary education as a means for helping students develop essential employability skills such as effective teamwork, communication, reflection and identification of multiple points of view for problem solving. Experts from the Stuckert Career Center emphasized the importance of students highlighting these sought-after attributes on their resumés, linking their unique skills and experience to employer needs. Attendees were instructed on the purpose of a resumé, constructing an effective resumé, and the role of AI in the job-seeking process. Students who attended received UK Invests credit for their participation in this event.
