The Office of Transdisciplinary Educational approaches to advance Kentucky (TEK) is seeking undergraduate students to promote our initiatives and facilitate the continued success of TEK. TEK aims to bring people together across disciplines to identify questions and address common problems.
TEK Student Ambassadors will develop leadership, collaboration, and communication skills while voluntarily serving and assisting the Office of Transdisciplinary Educational approaches to advance Kentucky (TEK) in strengthening the identity and presence of TEK. Through TEK, ambassadors will engage with prospective students, current students, alumni, University partners, and community partners while attending University planned activities and events.

TEK Ambassadors will be currently enrolled in or have already completed a TEK* course. *TEK Courses are those with a TEK prefix. In Spring 2024, the following UKC course sections met the requirements of a TEK Course:

Engagement activities and responsibilities |
TEK Ambassadors will voluntarily represent TEK in several events throughout the semester, engage with first year experience courses, and speak to community and university partners.
TEK Ambassadors will have a wide range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

Length of service | Ambassadors voluntarily serve for one year, as long as they are currently enrolled as a full-time (at least 12 credit hours) undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and complete other requirements as established. Appointments are renewable. |
